What’s it like working at G'day Group?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues, excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work in beautiful locations. The staff benefits, particularly discounted accommodation, and opportunities for growth are valued by those willing to take initiative.

However, there are some potential challenges, including inconsistent management and leadership with frequent directional changes, challenging workloads during peak periods, pay rates that may be below market average with occasional payroll errors, head office being difficult to contact, inconsistent formal training, and recognition of long-term employees that could be improved.

    Loved working at Yeppoon Discovery
The good thingsWork life balance was great. Staff and management at Yeppoon were the best, really make sure you can do your job to the best of your ability without micromanaging. Just an all-over great experience there . Would go back to work there again
The challengesNothing really needs improving directly in the park.

An exciting business but will never listen to or value you.
The good thingsThere are genuinely great people here who make it fun and collaborate extremely well. The business itself is exciting, with plenty of opportunity to do meaningful and innovative work.
The challengesIt’s frustrating to watch the tech function suddenly receive praise for delivering now that a new wave of GMs and leaders are in place, when this tech direction is what people on the ground have been pushing for years. The biggest problem has never been a lack of capable people. It has been management. For years the people actually doing the work were routinely ignored while executives came in with grand ideas, over-promised, changed direction, made terrible/costly tech decisions and created layers of politics that made it unnecessarily difficult to deliver anything. Loyal employees who have carried the business through years of dysfunction are overlooked while new leaders take credit for improvements they weren't responsible for creating, while actually being terrible "leaders" themselves. Loyalty and institutional knowledge don't seem to be valued nearly as much as having the right people in leadership positions at the right time. Don't bother, you'll never be valued here.

The challengesLeadership. Leadership. Communication. Over promise under deliver. Lack of support. Lack of direction. High turnoff staff
