After many years in the business, putting my career first and giving 150% everyday hundreds of us have been let go to basically fend for ourselves.

The good thingsInitially, Endeavour Group was a great place to work with progressive culture and a sense that everyone was being treated well and looked after… that changed when the demerger from Woolworths took place.

The challenges- profit over people - the wrong people given bigger roles who are not aligned to the (what was once a good) culture and not performing within current role - names and roles literally picked out of a hat on who is next on the chopping block - senior leadership just bows down to the board instead of standing up for what’s right - poor transformation execution - no alignment with retail brands, hotels and support group and everyone just stabbing one another on the back

The good thingsRegular social functions was a good way to meet people from other teams.

The challengesThe project didn't have funding approved to execute / deliver, was disorganised, poorly managed / led, and then let go several weeks after starting was incredibly disappointing and reflects poorly on the organisation and the very few people who are trying.

Avoid Endeavour at all costs - Rudderless, disingenious, unstable and more interested in being seen as progressive that caring about it's own people.

The good thingsWorking remotely is the only saving grace

The challengesRudderless leadership. Constant change to structure and ways of working. No chance for any kind of team establishment. A definite move to a reliance on offshore resources, not as a supplement, but as a core workforce. No chance of upwards movement, even promised promotions and role changes are not ever realised. Communication is amongst the worst I have experienced. Leadership DO NOT communicate - this creates a swirl of supposition and assumption.
