What’s it like working at Encara?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Encara offers several positive aspects that employees value, including flexible working arrangements that support work-life balance, competitive remuneration, and regular professional development opportunities. The company is also recognised for its supportive administrative team and friendly environment, with many employees appreciating the professional atmosphere.

However, there are areas for improvement, particularly regarding management support and communication, especially for those in regional areas. The nature of work can be repetitive with a strong focus on pain management, which some find limiting for clinical skill development. Some employees also note challenges with workload management and meeting various stakeholder expectations, while there are concerns about staff retention in certain areas of the organisation.

The worst working experience of my life. DO NOT here if you are an occupational therapist.
    The good thingsFlexible working arrangements
The challengesNo support for occupational therapy. Working outside of scope of practice. Forced COVID leave. Immature and poor management. High staff turn over. Not ethical, don’t care about their patients, only in it to fill their own pockets

    Authentic, positive and empowering.
The good things- Professional, friendly and respectful team. - Diplomatic and kind managers with an unobtrusive & non-autocratic style, which for me fostered a culture of trust, free from unnecessary distractions. - Therapists empowered to work independently. - Ongoing CPD opportunities.
The challengesSome therapists may find they need more clinical supervision and mentoring, especially if working solo in Residential Aged Care Facilities in regional areas. Clear and proactive communication with the company is needed to achieve positive outcomes.
