Since being established in 1971, Coogee has created a significant place for itself in Australia's chemical industry.We are a privately owned company and proudly Western Australian. We produce a wide range of industrial, agricultural and mineral processing chemicals for supply to both the Australian and International markets. And we operate Bulk Liquid Terminal Facilities for import, export and storage of chemicals and fuels. At our Tank Terminals in Kwinana, Western Australia, we are hosting the major players in the fuel market, and the Sulphuric Acid Terminal is the largest acid storage facility in the Southern hemisphere.

Overall good company, learned a lot from the 4 years of my tenure, good safety culture.

The good thingsGood people, clean plant, safety is their highest priority as it should be, great place to start your career as an engineer

The challengesThis company has a high turnover because they dont pay well, their system is dated and they won't pay to upgrade their systems, the team is relatively small which means you often have to take on more responsibilities

The challengesmanagement rewards the wrong people ignore the helpful ones, pay is lowest in the strip for similar roles. management has there favourites, and serious issues that don't effect potential company earnings are not taken seriously. ( so ANOTHER serious incident waiting to happen)

I’ve worked on a wide range of projects that challenge me and allow me to use my skills in laser scanning, 3D modelling, and plant design. What makes it even better is the team I get to work with — talented, supportive, and always willing to share knowledge. Coogee has a culture that truly values its people. There’s a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, but also genuine care for each individual. I’ve been encouraged to grow, to learn new technologies, and to take pride in the quality of what we deliver. Every day here feels purposeful. I’m proud to contribute to a company that not only operates to the highest standards but also looks after its people and community.
