What’s it like working at Chorus?
AI summary of recent reviews
Employees value the learning and development opportunities at Chorus, with the organisation being intentionally developmental. Staff appreciate the company's vision to make an impact in the industry and its inclusive culture where all voices are heard. The excellent teams and salary packaging benefits are also highlighted as positive aspects.
However, there are some potential challenges, such as the flat organisational structure which can slow decision-making due to the collaborative approach. Structural changes have led to the departure of experienced staff and changes in upper management. Some employees have noted increased bureaucracy in decision-making processes and indicated that management support and communication could be improved.

Different in a good way.
The good thingsOpportunities to learn and stretch myself in an organisation that is intentionally developmental.
The vision to really make an impact and do something different in the industry.
The challengesChorus is not for everyone.
There is very limited hierarchy, Chorus collaborate ensuring all voices are heard and influence decisions. This can make work slow and frustrating at times but the benefits outweigh the negatives if you are up for the challenge.

Toxic workplace culture, little opportunity for change outside the new rigid model.
The good thingsSome nice people used to work there, most were made redundant or left.
The challengesThe upper management tier was replaced after structural changes. Now there is nobody to go to who has the experience to solve problems. Poor employee support structure with limited expertise in the practical elements of best practice. High level of red tape and bureaucracy around decision making since the structural changes were made.
