What’s it like working at CASPA?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the supportive and approachable management at CASPA, who provide excellent staff support and advocacy. Staff find the work highly rewarding and meaningful, making a positive difference in young people's lives. The company offers extensive training opportunities, including paid training and clinical supervision, alongside a diverse and inclusive team culture with supportive colleagues. Work/life balance is prioritised through flexible rosters, and benefits and pay are excellent, including above award wages, salary sacrifice options, and free gym memberships.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as the emotional demands of working with traumatised young people who may display challenging behaviours. Some staff have noted that communication within the service could be improved, with information occasionally shared at the last minute. High staff turnover can impact work/life balance and create additional workload pressures at times. As a growing organisation, CASPA is still establishing some systems and processes, which can occasionally require patience as things are sorted out.

Management lacks the skills and knowledge needed to run the workplace effectively
The good thingsI enjoyed working with a few team members and my pay was usually correct without any discrepancies
The challengesThe current management is failing. This place needs a complete overhaul If you’re not friends with management, you’re treated like an outsider. Leadership opportunities aren’t offered fairly and concerns or disclosures are often swept under the rug Conflicts of interest are not addressed as several members of management are close friends and some are even in personal relationships

A disappointing experience marked by poor leadership, lack of development opportunities, and an abrupt, poorly handled redundancy.
The good things- Supportive colleagues - Reasonable workload in most areas
The challenges- Unprofessional behaviour from senior manager - Redundancy felt poorly managed and lacking transparency - No acknowledgment for contributions - Poor communication from leadership - No professional development opportunities
