People rarely achieve their billability target as there aren't a lot of projects so it's a difficult place to be.
The good thingsGood exposure to clients
The challenges1. Consultants have multiple people to report to.. Accenture managers, Avanade managers and obviously the Client. And most of the times, it is difficult to keep everyone happy. 2.No long term projects 3.They hire for Big Data projects, and then say they have projects only on Microsoft stack.

    Just another number...
The good thingsPerks - health insurance, gadget allowance, 5 weeks leave
The challengesProject experiences rarely use the latest technology, so don't expect your work to be bleeding edge. Chargeability comes before career aspirations; it's common to do projects which don't align to your skills and/or interests.

Best company I've worked for by far!
The good thingsGreat culture and supportive team environment. Latest MacBooks :) Luma Workplace Training. Perks like gadget allowance and private health. The ability to change clients so that you're constantly learning and growing. Career progression. Diversity and Inclusion as well as gender equality is highly important here.
The challengesFlow of work varies and you sometimes have to travel interstate.

Good place to start consulting, move on if stuck in same place for ever.
The good thingsGreat company, people are great, benefits are good too. Also their technology culture keeps eye on the latest tech developments.
The challengesAll depends on the client, in some client place, its impossible to get out. Management keeps blind eye on employees career progress.

    Changing, not for the better
The good thingsDepending on the project, get house new tech
The challengesIf you aren't from IBM, you aren't in the click. Some projects put you in a box and forget about you... and make it too hard to get out

I learned a lot, was supported by all levels in the team and had a good time.
The good thingsGreat people, well integrated team, HR support was good. People are recognised well for their contribution.
The challengesClient work, client that we were assigned to had very different culture and work styles, which applied to us as consultants. But that's the nature of consulting work.

It was a good run while it lasted but changed through time and lost it's character.
The good thingsDiverse group of employees. Good start-up company.
The challengesManagement is remote and will never understand what goes on locally. They are not helpful to local needs. Role has changed and needs a larger group to be more effective.

Top class Microsoft specialist professional services, but expect work-life balance to be challenged.
The good thingsMost of the staff are great people, committed, professional, genuine, hard-working & talented. Great teamwork. Opportunities for travel if wanted. Good training. Work with offshore teams. Leading edge technology. Good variety of projects.
The challengesVery heavyweight process & admin. Drive to offshore work when not necessarily appropriate. Tendency to underestimate projects resulting in staff being overworked. Work-life balance often compromised due to pressures of work. Culture has suffered over the last few years.

Career making opportunity - just make sure to jump off the ship when it suits you
The good thingsExposure to large enterprise customers Career development opportunities are exceptional during your early career, and can climb the ladder quickly, picking up a lot of good experience and technical knowledge along the way Benefits and perks are the best in the business - there is a big emphasis on training and certification, and the annual bonus and gadget allowances sweeten the deal Opportunities to travel
The challengesWorking for large enterprise customers - you must adopt their work culture and fit in to their organisation when completing a project, which can have it's own challenges Recognition of your work is poor - you need to constantly \"sell\" yourself to your peers and self promote your achievements Extended travel - it is not uncommon to be stuck on an interstate project for months on end, flying back and forth every week. Whilst there are opportunities to stay up to date with the latest technologies and innovations, if you cement yourself as an SME in anything, expect to be placed on projects demanding these skills for your foreseeable future

Being able to innovate daily is great!
The good thingsRight at the forefront of Microsoft technologies. Training and development is taken very seriously as its pivotal to the Company's success as a leading edge solution provider
The challengesSometimes we're using technologies that are so new, we're effectively writing the rulebooks as we go, which can be very challenging (but exciting!) when there isn't always much reference material to fall back on.
