The good thingsSalary are pay on time without delay. BBQ once a while. Never one day the same.
The challengesCommunication between departments could be improved, particularly in relation to sharing information and responding to concerns raised by frontline workers. At times, frontline staff feel that their feedback and practical experience are not adequately recognised or valued by management.
Some Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures can also be unclear, leaving frontline workers uncertain about how they should be applied in certain situations. This can make daily work more challenging and may create unnecessary stress.
Employees are experiencing high workloads, pressure, and stress on a daily basis. Opportunities to take adequate breaks during the working day appear to be limited, with lunch often being the only regular break available. A middle tier materials handling and access company with an aspirational view of their own scale and importance who seek to pay as little as possible for a role they know is worth more.
The good thingsLate model HR truck, having my fork ticket paid for.
The challengesPoor communication, vintage paper based systems, low pay for the physical nature of the role. No scales in truck or weighbridge onsite made load planning difficult, company just wanted machines moved, weren't interested in safety once the driver declarations were signed.
