Estimator

Access Datacom, part of the AMS Group (AMSG), is offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a motivated person to join us as an Estimator within our growing Security division. This is an office-based role located in West Adelaide.

 Your principle responsibilities will be to:

Report to the Sales Manager, you will Develop Cost estimates and proposals in line with the duties of an Estimator

• Foster client relationships in close collaboration with the Sales, Business Development and Key Account Managers and the Sales and project teams in general

• Field Estimating enquiries and develop proposals

• Prepare technical responses to tenders and complex sales opportunities

• Prepare and host handover meetings to Operations

• Participate in Project Delivered reviews hosted by PMs and/or KAMs

• Maintain and keep up to date, Customer Relationship Management data

• Maintain a network of industry estimators and key relationships

• Maintain a solid awareness and stay abreast of developments in industry along with AMS Group technical and solution development across relevant business sectors.

You will have:

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel

• Experience in estimation and contributing to client submissions

• Background in projects within the electronic security, structured data or electrical industries, highly regarded

• Sound commercial acumen

• Good time management and organisation skills

• Sound communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• An understanding of project execution/delivery practice and principles

• Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience

• South Australia Driver Licence

• South Australia Security Licence, highly regarded though not essential

• Possess or ability to obtain all DCI clearances, including National Police Clearance

• Able to obtain state law enforcement clearance
