About Us

East Care Urgent Care is a well-established walk-in urgent care clinic located in Botany, East Auckland. We provide high-quality medical care for patients requiring assessment and treatment of injuries and acute illnesses, and after-hours care.

Open 7 days a week 7am-1am, East Care operates as part of a multidisciplinary health hub, working alongside pharmacy, radiology, and allied health services to deliver integrated, patient-focused care to the community.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist who can deliver exceptional patient experiences to all patients and visitors to our busy urgent care clinic. You would work alongside a team of experienced and skilled receptionists ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our front-of-house environment.

The team works across a range of shifts between 7am and 1.30am. As this is a casual position, there are no set shifts, with shifts offered as needed. We are looking for someone who has good flexibility and is available to support he team across a variety of day, evening and weekend shifts, including both opening and closing shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Professionally greet and assist all patients and visitors

• Maintain and update confidential patient information

• Receiving phone calls, messages, and appointments accurately

• Liaising with internal and external clinical teams

• Processing payments and assisting with banking tasks

• Maintaining awareness of the clinic environment

Required Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with superb communication

• Great time management skills and an ability to prioritise tasks

• Computer literacy with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to remain calm and under pressure and work effectively as part of a team

• A friendly and professional approach when communicating with a diverse range of people

• Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to support the team where required

• Knowledge of Medtech Evolution would be an advantage, although training will be provided

• Previous Medical Reception experience
