Ross’s Auctioneers and Valuers is seeking a professional, organised and customer-focused Reception & Data Entry Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in providing exceptional service to customers, vendors and colleagues.

About the Role

The Reception & Data Entry Officer is responsible for ensuring that auction administration, data entry, reception and sale processing activities are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with Ross’s policies and procedures.

You will play an important role in supporting our auction operations, including the preparation and administration of online auctions, while also providing professional reception and administrative support to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and friendly reception and customer service to clients, vendors, buyers and visitors.

  • Answer and direct telephone calls, take accurate messages and manage reception enquiries.

  • Accurately process consignments, auction data and sale documentation.

  • Assist with the creation, preparation and management of online auctions and catalogues.

  • Provide basic technical support and resolve issues relating to the online auction process.

  • Support auction administration, including catalogue updates, lotting and sale processing.

  • Process auction payments and receipting and assist with accounts administration.

  • Provide administrative support to the BDM, Valuations and Satellite Site teams, including formatting valuation reports.

  • Maintain a professional, friendly and positive approach.

  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional and detail oriented, with a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.

You will be comfortable working in a fast paced auction environment, able to prioritise multiple tasks and confident communicating with customers, vendors and internal staff.

Most importantly, you will take pride in your work, demonstrate a strong work ethic and consistently represent Ross’s Auctioneers and Valuers in a professional manner.
