Senior Field Engineer/Technician

About the Role: Working with a small but experienced and highly dedicated team, you will be responsible to grow the service business throughout New Zealand by using your broad range of skills and knowledge in the fields of electrical and electro-mechanical automation, PLC control systems, pneumatics, mechanical engineering etc. to deliver exceptional repair, maintenance and medical equipment validation services and solutions to our customers. This hands-on role would include both workshop and site work, and will involve frequent travel, sometimes at short notice. The position would not suit an individual that is not committed to working with our New Zealand team to pro-actively grow our service and spare parts business in New Zealand. This role has some flexibility to accommodate candidates that are looking for a full-time or a part-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attending breakdowns, fault finding and repairing washing and automation equipment at customer premises

  • Completing scheduled preventative maintenance services ensuring work is completed in-line with existing Service Agreements

  • Assisting sales in the design, integration and delivery of customised washing solutions

  • Project managing large industrial washer installations

  • Pro-actively seeking out new service customers and opportunities

  • Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications in Electrical/Electro-mechanical Engineering. Current electrical registration and practicing licence required

  • Experience in PLC’s, robotics and system integration preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude is a must

  • TIG/MIG welding experience (highly regarded)

  • Current and unrestricted Driver’s license is essential

  • Strong fault finding and diagnostics skills

  • This position would suit an exceptional individual who would take full responsibility for the delivery of technical services for our New Zealand division.
