The Role

As a commercial electrician at DGE, you will work alongside our team of skilled Electrical Supervisors, Project Managers, and Engineers. Based at various project sites located in SEQ, you will gain hands-on experience and training to develop your skills and knowledge within the electrical industry. This is a full-time position offering opportunities for growth and professional development in a supportive environment.

You will have the opportunity to work across areas of electrical projects and construction projects including:

  • General power and communication installations for commercial projects

  • Small works, repairs, installations, and service maintenance

  • Medical electrical projects

  • Unique upgrades and projects such as building MSB upgrades

  • Field lighting projects 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers and supervisors with day-to-day construction tasks on various electrical projects.

  • Support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, following safety regulations and standards.

  • Participate in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical issues, developing your problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

  • Attend weekly training sessions to enhance your technical skills and understanding of electrical systems.

  • Engage in regular team meetings, providing updates on your progress and contributing to project discussions.


Requirements:

  • Queensland Electrical License

  • CPR LVR certificate

  • Open class 'C', manual drivers license

  • Construction white card

  • Ability to carry out overtime if required

  • EWP and high risk licenses
