TRUCK DRIVER MR LOCAL PICK UP & DELIVERY DRIVER – TOWNSVILLE

About the role

This is a permanent full-time position providing local pick-up and delivery services throughout Townsville and surrounding areas. Your day-to-day duties will include local pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Townsville area, delivering palletised general freight to commercial customers, operating an MR tautliner fitted with a tailgate, loading and unloading freight as required, completing vehicle pre-start checks, using the electronic freight and delivery system, providing professional and friendly service to customers, and ensuring freight is handled and secured safely.

Key responsibilities

• Local pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Townsville area

• Delivering palletised general freight to commercial customers

• Operating an MR tautliner fitted with a tailgate

• Loading and unloading freight as required

• Completing vehicle pre-start checks

• Using the electronic freight and delivery system

• Providing professional and friendly service to customers

• Ensuring freight is handled and secured safely

About you

• A current MR Licence or higher

• A good driving record

• A strong focus on safety

• Reliability and a good work ethic

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol screening
