About the role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a positive and caring experience.
Key responsibilities
Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answering telephone calls and managing patient enquiries
Booking, confirming and changing appointments
Processing Medicare claims, private fees and payments
Managing patient registrations and medical records
Scanning, emailing and handling incoming correspondence
Communicating with doctors, nurses, specialists and other healthcare providers
Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
Completing general reception and administrative duties
Helping the clinic run efficiently throughout the day
About you
Has previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience
Has excellent communication and customer-service skills
Is organised, dependable and able to manage a busy reception area
Has good computer and administrative skills
Can work calmly and professionally under pressure
Works well independently and as part of a team
Understands the importance of patient confidentiality
Has a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
