Finance Manager - Revenue Planning and Analysis

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director Finance, the Finance Manager - Revenue Planning and Analysis will provide the financial analysis of the Transmission Use of Service (TUoS) business function. The role will provide commercial breakdown on revenue, costs and cashflow insights to support the executives with strategic budget decisions.

Aspects of the role will include financial activities and analysis, as well as ensuring compliance with the Government's financial management framework, undertaking development of financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes, preparing detailed reports, streamlining processes, supporting financial period close and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will deliver

• Engage with internal stakeholders to build strong and effective working relationships across VicGrid.
• Monitor cash payments to vendors to ensure payments are made within contractual terms.
• Review of invoicing received and goods receipting of vendor invoicing related to Declared shared network (DSN) projects.
• Lead analysis of historical, fixed and variable costs, future transmission requirements and preparation of inputs to build up VicGrid's TUoS revenue requirement.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and monitoring ensuring budgets are effectively managed in accordance with relevant legislative, policy and governance requirements.

What you will bring

• Experience in financial planning and analysis of operational performance.
• Building relationships and partnering with the business providing to provide financial management advice.
• Understanding of Victorian Government financial policies and processes will be highly regarded but is not essential.
• Experience working in a similar role within the energy or utilities sector would be highly regarded.
