About the Role
We are seeking an experienced blue-collar recruiter who is ready to take the next step into a broader role encompassing recruitment leadership, people management and business development.
This is a hands-on position where you will manage the complete recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and selection through to medical bookings, onboarding and mobilisation—while supporting and guiding a small team.
You will work autonomously, with direct support from the Director, and build strong relationships across a small and valued client base. You will also play an important role in identifying new opportunities and helping grow the business.
The position will initially be part-time, working three days per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the business expands. You can be based at either our Bundaberg or Strathpine office.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment for mining, civil, construction and transport roles
Lead, support and coordinate employees involved in recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation activities
Source candidates through SEEK, job boards, existing databases, referrals and industry networks
Screen candidates, conduct interviews and complete reference checks
Coordinate pre-employment medicals, drug and alcohol testing and other compliance requirements
Manage onboarding, site inductions, travel arrangements and mobilisation to site
Maintain accurate candidate, employee and compliance records
Prepare and advertise vacancies across relevant platforms
Build and maintain an active database of skilled blue-collar candidates
Develop strong relationships with existing clients and understand their workforce requirements
Provide responsive and professional communication to clients, candidates and employees
Identify business development opportunities and establish relationships with prospective clients
Assist with workforce planning, upcoming projects and recruitment strategies
Manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes with a high level of autonomy
Work closely with the Director to support the continued growth of the business
