Early Childhood Educator (DIPLOMA or CERT 3 QUALIFIED)

About us

Little Learners has been architecturally designed and purpose-built to create a fun & vibrant environment. We cater for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years of age, including a government-approved 4-year-old Kindergarten program (inclusive of a comprehensive "School Readiness Program"), as well as, a 3-year-old Kindergarten program.

At Little Learners we engage in a play-based learning program, using the interests of the children to strengthen and develop their skills and abilities.


The opportunity

An exciting opportunity is now available for experienced Early Childhood Educators (Diploma & Cert III) to join our team in both our Truganina & Tarneit Early Learning Centres.

These are rewarding casual positions where you will work Monday to Friday (8hr shifts between the hours of 7am-6pm).

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification (Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, or ACECQA Equivalent);

  • Demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education (Preferably Long Day Care);

  • Proven understanding of EYLF;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment; 

  • A positive and creative mindset;

  • Competence in interacting with multicultural clientele;

  • Current working with children check;

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Certificates.


Responsibilities

  • Involved in supporting the team which provides high quality early childhood education and care;

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards

  • Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care

  • Support the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service. Apply a variety of practices where directed to do so;

  • Work as part of a team, ensuring a safe and caring environment.
