From after-school work through to experienced tradespeople – we’re looking for good people who want to learn, progress and build a career.
Redline Cranes is continuing to expand our workshop and crane operations, and we are looking for people across a range of experience levels.
You might be:
A Year 11 or Year 12 student wanting an after-school job and your first opportunity in the industry
A Trades Assistant with mechanical, welding, fabrication, paint or panel experience
An MC Truck Driver who enjoys mechanical work and wants a more varied role than simply driving
A Stores / Parts Person who enjoys working around machinery and equipment
A mechanically minded person wanting to move into the crane industry
An Engine Builder interested in diesel engines, component rebuilding and performance/problem-solving work
A Qualified Mechanic wanting to progress beyond normal servicing into cranes, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, major repairs and rebuilds
An experienced tradesperson looking for a workplace where there is an opportunity to progress into senior technical, supervisory or specialist roles

We don't expect every applicant to already know cranes.

Redline Cranes works on everything from Franna pick-and-carry cranes through to large All Terrain, Rough Terrain, crawler and specialised cranes used throughout the mining, construction and industrial sectors.
Our workshop work can include:

AFTER-SCHOOL / JUNIOR OPPORTUNITIES
We are particularly interested in school students aged 16+ who want to get into a mechanical trade.
After-school work may include:
Workshop and yard assistance
Cleaning and preparing cranes
Helping mechanics and tradespeople
Basic mechanical tasks
Parts and stores assistance
Paint and preparation work
General workshop duties
After-school shifts, school holidays and some weekend work may be available.
For the right junior, this can become a genuine pathway into an apprenticeship and long-term career with Redline Cranes.
TRADES ASSISTANTS
We are looking for TAs across several areas, including:
Mechanical TAs
Assisting mechanics with crane repairs and servicing
Component removal and installation
Cleaning and preparing parts
Workshop and yard duties
Welding / Fabrication TAs
Grinding and preparation
Assisting fabricators
Crane repairs and refurbishment
General fabrication support
Paint / Panel TAs
Sanding and preparation
Masking
Cleaning and preparing components
Assisting with crane refurbishment and presentation
Experience is valuable, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
MC TRUCK DRIVERS – WANT TO DO MORE THAN JUST DRIVE?
We are also interested in speaking with MC licence holders who are mechanically minded.
If you have spent years around trucks, cranes or heavy equipment and enjoy repairing and maintaining machinery, we may be able to build a role around your experience.
This could combine:
Truck and crane movements
Yard operations
Basic mechanical work
Equipment preparation
Assisting mechanics
Mobilisation and demobilisation of cranes
General workshop support
This could suit someone who still enjoys driving but doesn't want to spend every day sitting behind the wheel.
QUALIFIED MECHANICS & ENGINE BUILDERS
For experienced tradespeople, Redline offers the opportunity to move well beyond routine servicing.
We are interested in:
Heavy Diesel Mechanics
Automotive / Light Vehicle Mechanics wanting to move into heavy equipment
Crane Mechanics
Engine Builders
Component Rebuild Technicians
Mechanics with strong diagnostic ability
Mechanics wanting to progress into senior technical or supervisory positions
You could develop experience across:
Mercedes and other industrial diesel engines
Engine rebuilding
