Event Crew Labourer I Marquee Builder I MR Truck Driver

RBR Party Hire is seeking to recruit multiple Event Crew Labourers.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Event Installer to join our crew, specializing in marquee installations and event infrastructure for weddings, private functions, and corporate events. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality presentation, and can work efficiently as part of a team to deliver exceptional event setups.


About The Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and hands-on team member to join our busy events team. This is a physical and varied role, working across the delivery, setup, pack-down and maintenance of event equipment.

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work required during busy periods and when needed by the business.

  • Work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.

  • Work as part of a friendly and supportive team within the events industry.

  • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring all required equipment is accounted for and secured.

  • Deliver and collect hired equipment from private clients, businesses, venues and event sites.

  • Assist with the installation and dismantling of marquees, including walls, flooring, lighting, furniture and other event infrastructure.

  • Clean, inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is presented in excellent condition and ready for its next hire.

  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including organising, storing and preparing equipment for upcoming jobs.

  • Carry out basic maintenance and report any damaged or faulty equipment to management.

  • Work safely at all times, following company procedures and taking care when handling heavy equipment.

  • Provide professional, friendly and courteous service when interacting with clients, venues, suppliers and members of the public.

  • Represent the business in a positive and professional manner while working on-site.

  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes and weekends depending on event schedules.

  • Take pride in completing work to a high standard and contributing to the successful delivery of each event.


Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a hands-on, physical or labour-intensive role is highly regarded.

  • Experience in the events, hire, construction, warehouse, logistics or similar industries is advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work well with others in a busy environment.

  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in completing work to a high standard.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and adaptable when things don't go to plan.

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying and moving event equipment safely.

  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

  • Practical and hands-on approach, with the ability to learn how to use tools and equipment.

  • Reliable, punctual and willing to go the extra mile to help the team and get the job done.

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.


Requirements

  • Current Manual Australian driver's licence.

  • Current MR or HR driver's licence is highly regarded.

  • Ability to drive company vehicles and safely transport equipment as required.

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, load and unload heavy equipment.

  • Willingness to work early mornings, late finishes and occasional weekends when required by event schedules.

  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in a variety of weather conditions.

  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety and a commitment to following safe work practices.

  • Ability to work at heights where required for marquee and event installations.

  • Must be dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

  • A willingness to learn and take direction is essential.

  • Forklift licence or relevant tickets are advantageous but not essential.

  • Previous experience with marquees, event equipment, furniture hire or event setups is highly regarded.
