Fire Alarm Trade Assistant/Tester

Successful candidates for Fire Alarm Trade Assistance/Tester will be responsible for testing and maintaining fire safety systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
These roles are essential for ensuring the safety and reliability of fire alarm systems and other fire protection equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire detection, alarm, and warning systems.
Deliver a high standard of workmanship while complying with company procedures, Australian Standards, and client requirements.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Complete allocated tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
Maintain a positive attitude and professional approach, even when working under pressure.
Accurately complete service reports, testing records, and other required documentation.
Collaborate with Senior Fire Alarm Technicians, Project Managers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
Installation:
Assist Senior Fire Alarm Technicians with the installation of fire detection, alarm, and warning systems in accordance with Australian Standards, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements.
Assist Senior Fire Alarm Technicians with the installation of wiring and connection of system components, ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and client specifications.
Maintain accurate records of installation and testing activities.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems to ensure proper functioning.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections and testing of fire alarm systems and equipment.
Inspect and test systems to ensure all components are performing well and comply with safety requirements.
Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented and completed in accordance with company procedures.
