We are seeking to hire an organised & proactive Trades Assistant to support our welding & wheel repair team to ensure prompt response to rectifying damage or ‘wear & tear’ to the wheels/rims of our customers.

About the role

• Work to best practice & the service standard protocols of BMSA & our customers

• Diagnose/Identify & troubleshoot wheel damage

• Ensure all equipment used on site meets operational requirements & allow work to be carried out in a safe manner

• Ensure that every wheel is inspected & complies to BMSA QMS after each process stage of repair

About You - Essential

• Must have full working rights in Australia

• Welding experience preferred (not essential)

• Forklift licence (LF) or ability to obtain

• Strong commitment to safety of yourself & others

• Fit & able to carry out manual labour requirements

• Aptitude/experience in metal fabrication or in a workshop environment

About You - Preferred

• Experience with using a plasma cutter

• Trade qualifications or experience in welding/heavy fabrication
