About the role

We're seeking enthusiastic and welcoming Front Of House Team members to join Freshwaters Cafe in Peppermint Grove, WA. This is a part-time position perfect for those looking for flexible work in a vibrant hospitality environment. You'll be the friendly face of our cafe, creating memorable experiences for our guests whilst delivering exceptional customer service. This role is integral to maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that defines Freshwaters Cafe and ensures every visitor leaves with a positive impression.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them appropriately

• Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

• Serving meals and drinks with professionalism and attention to detail

• Responding promptly to customer requests and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit

• Processing payments using the point-of-sale system

• Clearing and resetting tables between services to maintain a clean dining environment

• Communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow

• Maintaining knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to assist guests with recommendations

• Adhering to health and safety standards and cafe policies

What we're looking for

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to scheduling

• Experience in waiting staff or front-of-house hospitality roles is advantageous

• A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player

• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively

• Basic numeracy skills for processing payments accurately

• Presentable appearance and professional demeanour

• Australian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is preferred or willingness to obtain it
