Financial Accountant

We're seeking a Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team in Brisbane. Description

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Supporting the month-end and year-end close process
• Assisting with statutory reporting and external audits
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Supporting tax compliance obligations, including BAS, FBT, and income tax reporting
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Contributing to financial analysis and management reporting
• Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and automation
• Partnering with stakeholders across finance and operational teams to deliver insights that support decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

Profile

• CA or CPA qualification
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3+ years' experience in financial accounting, audit, or business services
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting requirements
• Experience working within a complex corporate environment
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels
• Mining, resources, energy, or large corporate experience will be highly regarded
