Role Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accountant plays a key role in delivering reliable financial information, maintaining effective financial controls, and supporting operational teams with timely and accurate reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to deepen their technical skills, contribute to process improvements, and play a meaningful part in the ongoing enhancement of our finance operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support monthly and annual financial close processes, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.

  • Assist with the consolidation of financial results across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and taxation requirements.

  • Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring strong financial controls and robust evidence are maintained.

  • Contribute to cash flow tracking, forecasting activities, and budget preparation.

  • Assist in maintaining and improving financial systems, processes, and controls, and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.

  • Support commercial finance activities, including monitoring customer and supplier obligations and providing financial insights to operational teams.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to support performance improvement and finance-related projects.

  • Perform other accounting and finance tasks as required to support the broader team.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.

  • CA or CPA studies commenced.

  • 1-2 years' experience in an accounting, finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, assistant accountant, or similar role.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.
