Community Resources’ vision is to build and support thriving communities which value people, planet and the traditional custodians of the land. Our mission is to create jobs that care for people and planet. Our values of being authentic, fair, kind, brave and sustainable uphold our vision and mission. We aim to make a difference by creating jobs that care for people and planet, keep waste out of landfill, grow and distribute fair food, and provide community service to those who need it.

The organisation runs social enterprises – Soft Landing and Resource Recovery Australia – together with a range of community services. Last year we provided jobs for 650 people across Australia, 79% of whom experienced barriers to employment.

Soft Landing operates across NSW, ACT, VIC and WA.  We divert end of life mattresses from landfill and recover the components to recycle. We offer employment opportunities for people who experience barriers entering the open labour market. For every 45 mattresses that we collect and recycle each day, we can create a job for someone who really needs one. Soft Landing currently employees 150 staff.

Soft Landing provides mattress collection and other recycling services, across various States. The demand for our services continues to grow and to meet that demand now and, in the future, we require the assistance of an administrative support person. The position is Tuesday - Thursday, approx. 5 hours each day (plus additional hours for leave coverage, busy periods) and based at our Wangara site.
