Due to continued growth, Atlas Golf Services is expanding our construction team and seeking experienced Plant Operators and Golf Course Construction Workers to join us in South East Melbourne on a full-time basis.

We are a specialist contractor delivering high-quality golf course construction, sports turf construction and golf course maintenance across Australia.

With a major project underway in South East Melbourne, this is an opportunity to work on premium golf developments alongside an experienced construction team.

About the Role

You’ll work as part of a specialised golf course construction crew, involved in all stages of construction from bulk earthworks through to detailed finishing.

Depending on your experience, you may operate a range of plant and equipment or work across general construction activities, including:

• Earthworks and site preparation

• Golf course shaping and finishing

• Drainage installation

• Bunker construction

• Green, tee and fairway construction

• Soil and material placement

• Final trim and detailed finishing

• General labouring and construction duties

We are looking for people who take pride in their work, understand the importance of accuracy and finish, and want to develop their skills within a specialist construction environment.

Previous golf course construction experience is highly regarded but not essential. We are also interested in experienced civil construction workers and plant operators who are looking to move into the golf course construction industry.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people with experience in construction and/or plant operation.

Experience with any of the following is highly regarded:

• Excavator operation

• Skid Steer operation

• Dozer operation

• Dump Truck operation

• GPS machine control

• Final trim

• Earthworks and bulk excavation

• Drainage and civil construction

• Golf course construction

You will also have:

• Current driver's licence

• White Card

• Relevant plant tickets/competencies where applicable

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to workplace health and safety

• Ability to undertake manual handling and general construction duties
