About the Company

Revise Recruitment has partnered with the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) to recruit an experienced Events Manager for a 12-month maternity leave contract.

MFAA is the national membership organisation for mortgage and finance brokers, mortgage managers, aggregators and other industry stakeholders. Its purpose is to empower members to prosper and thrive, ensuring Australians benefit from competition and choice.

MFAA delivers a national program of professional development, networking, awards and industry events designed to educate, connect and support its members.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of an established national events program and join a supportive team that takes pride in delivering high-quality experiences for members and industry.

Reporting to the Executive, Professional Development & Member Engagement, you'll manage events from planning through to delivery, with plenty of variety across the year. The program includes virtual professional development, member breakfasts, state events, the Excellence Awards and MFAA's major national conference.

With the 2027 calendar already planned, you'll have a strong framework to step into while taking responsibility for bringing each event together. You'll work with State Managers, Marketing, Finance and the Executive team, as well as speakers, sponsors, venues and suppliers.

You'll also lead two direct reports while remaining hands-on across event planning and delivery. Interstate travel will be required for key events.

About the Person

You'll be an experienced corporate Events Manager who genuinely enjoys events and takes pride in delivering them well.

You'll be organised, personable and detail-focused, with the confidence to build strong relationships with speakers, sponsors, suppliers and senior stakeholders. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, be comfortable leading and supporting others, and like being close to the detail and delivery.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who cares about the attendee experience and enjoys seeing a well-planned event come together successfully.

Duties
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of national, state and regional events
  • Deliver professional development, networking events, member breakfasts, awards and conference activity

  • Coordinate event communications and online information
  • Work with State Managers and Marketing to promote events and maximise participation
  • Manage sponsors and event partners and ensure agreed deliverables are achieved
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting, supplier negotiations and reconciliation

  • Experience delivering professional, industry, member or stakeholder events
  • EventsAIR experience is essential
