About the role

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machine Operator to join our team at Spot On Ring Rolling in Braeside, Victoria. This position is available as either full time or part time, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work within our reputable manufacturing company. As a Lathe Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring high-quality output and contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

1. Operating and maintaining industrial lathe machines to produce a variety of metal components and parts

2. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and work orders to set up and operate machinery accurately

3. Performing routine maintenance and adjustments on lathe machines to ensure optimal performance

4. Monitoring production runs and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency

5. Reporting any issues or machine malfunctions to the appropriate personnel

6. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

7. Collaborating with the wider production team to meet deadlines and achieve business objectives

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Lathe Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment

2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions

3. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

4. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

6. Strong time management and organizational skills

7. Relevant trade qualifications or certificates, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
