DGH Engineering is looking for motivated Apprentice Boilermakers to join our team. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople, develop valuable practical skills and work towards becoming a qualified Boilermaker.

About the role

Based in our workshop and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of fabrication, welding and mechanical tasks.

As you progress through your apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to:

  • Safely operate a range of power tools and workshop equipment

  • Set up components for welding, fabrication and pressure testing

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Fabricate and produce parts to specification

  • Remove, repair and install new and used parts and machinery

  • Work in both workshop and site environments

  • Develop the practical skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Boilermaker

You don't need years of experience — we’re looking for the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

You'll be someone who:

  • Is reliable, hardworking and keen to learn

  • Enjoys working with tools, machinery and your hands

  • Takes pride in producing quality work

  • Can follow instructions and ask questions when you're unsure

  • Works well as part of a team

  • Has a strong commitment to safety

  • Is willing to learn how to read and work from engineering drawings
