About the Role
West Coast Engineering & Welding is seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. If you have strong experience in industrial piping systems, can read and interpret drawings, and take pride in delivering quality work safely and efficiently, we'd like to hear from you.
You will be involved in site-based activities supporting a range of structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) projects across the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication, assembly and installation of piping systems and associated components
Reading and interpreting piping drawings, isometrics and specifications
Measuring, cutting, preparing and fitting pipework to required tolerances
Installing valves, flanges, supports and mechanical equipment
Assisting with pressure testing, commissioning and maintenance activities
Performing shutdown, maintenance and project works on client sites
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Maintaining tools, equipment and housekeeping within work areas
Working collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and project teams
What We’re Looking For
Trade-qualified Pipefitter or demonstrated equivalent industry experience
Proven experience within industrial SMP, mining, oil & gas, energy or processing environments
Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and isometric sketches
Sound knowledge of piping systems, installation techniques and industry standards
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work across workshop and site locations as required
