The Position

In this role you would be responsible in providing timely and accurate purchasing / procurement of materials, goods and services according to specified quantity, quality, cost and delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Purchasing of parts and services specified by production requests and requisitions within required timeframes.

  • Ensure all purchasing is in accordance with CEA Policies and Delegations.

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of consumables.

  • Maintain detailed purchase order records such as quotes and supplier correspondence.

  • Proactively provide advice and information to CEA departments in relation to purchasing procedures and procurement status.

  • Assist CEA departments with preparing compilation of costing data.

  • Accuracy of Data entry as required for Purchasing.

  • Contribute to process improvements.

  • Regularly monitor supplier performance against the Supplier Evaluation process to ensure improved business outcomes.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of purchasing procedures and the ability to follow work instructions to carry out specified activities; a level of technical knowledge is an advantage.

  • Competent in use of Microsoft applications including Excel at an intermediate level, experience with in use of PRONTO advantageous.

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, particularly to convey CEA needs to, and negotiate with external suppliers (usually via phone/email).

  • Demonstrated/ strong ability to accurately record a high volume of data, analyse and monitor numerical figures.

  • Ability to interpret technical data and confirm specifications.

  • Ability to multi task and prioritise workloads to achieve required outcomes.

  • An Australian Citizen;

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Baseline

  • ITAR – This position requires employees to access equipment and data that is subject to U.S International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR). As such, applicants must disclose the following information at the time of application.
