Construction Manager

About the role

You will spend approximately 50% of your time on site, directly supporting project teams across civil infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with Operations Managers to ensure projects are safe, productive, well planned and commercially disciplined, while leading and mentoring Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and crews.

Key responsibilities

• Spend approximately 50% of your time on site, directly supporting our project teams
• Work alongside Operations Managers across multiple civil projects
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and crews
• Drive daily and weekly production targets
• Challenge construction methodologies and find smarter ways to deliver
• Identify productivity, cost, quality and safety issues early
• Ensure projects have the right people, plant and resources
• Lift standards around planning, sequencing and site discipline
• Help troubleshoot difficult jobs and get projects back on track quickly
• Build strong, accountable and high-performing site teams

About you

• Strong civil construction experience
• Extensive experience delivering earthworks, roads, drainage and infrastructure projects
• Excellent understanding of civil production and construction methodology
• Strong commercial awareness
• Proven ability to lead supervisors and project teams
• The confidence to challenge poor productivity or methodology
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• Willingness to travel across our project portfolio
• A leadership style based on presence, accountability and getting involved
