About the role

Nexgen Pest Control is seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician/Trainee to join our growing team in Bendigo, Victoria. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to launch or develop your career in the pest control industry. Whether you're an experienced technician looking for a new challenge or a trainee eager to learn the trade, this role will provide you with hands-on experience, professional development, and the chance to make a real difference in maintaining healthy, pest-free environments for our valued clients across the Bendigo region.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough pest inspections at residential and commercial properties to identify infestations and potential pest entry points

  • Applying pesticides, traps, and other control measures safely and effectively in accordance with industry standards and regulations

  • Providing expert advice to clients on pest prevention, treatment options, and ongoing pest management strategies

  • Maintaining detailed records of all treatments, chemicals used, and client interactions

  • Operating and maintaining pest control equipment and vehicles in a safe and professional manner

  • Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations whilst on job sites

  • Building positive client relationships through professional service delivery and clear communication

  • Responding promptly to emergency pest control requests and service calls

  • Assisting with the training and mentoring of junior team members as experience grows


What we're looking for

  • A current or pending pest control licence or willingness to obtain one (support provided)

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols precisely

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transport

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality workmanship

  • Experience in pest control or a related trade is beneficial but not essential for trainees

  • A commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the pest control industry
