Join Union Beverages as a Canning Line Setter and become a key part of a fast-growing beverage manufacturing team in Dingley Village. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on operator who takes pride in keeping canning lines running safely and efficiently. With opportunities across all shifts, and a wide variety of products and brands coming through our facility, this is a great role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with modern production equipment and being part of a team that gets things done.

About the role

Our business is expanding, and we need experienced Line Setters/Leads across all three shifts (day, afternoon and night). This is a hands-on roles where you'll lead your shift team, keeping the line running smoothly with efficient changeovers, consistent quality, and strong safety performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Efficient and timely changeovers on the canning or glass bottling line

  • Set up, fine-tune, troubleshoot and operate line machinery

  • Conduct CIPs / internal machine cleaning as per SOPs

  • Line clearance and start-up readiness for shift production

  • Train and coach production operators on equipment and best practices

  • Conduct quality checks and maintain specified standards

  • Strict focus on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Reduce planned and unplanned downtime with an autonomous maintenance mindset

  • Ensure the line is ready for on-time start-up with required raw materials available

  • Identify and action continuous improvement opportunities

Key requirements

  • Strict focus on Health & Safety

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a beverage/food manufacturing environment (highly desirable); experience on either canning or glass bottling lines valued

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in frontline leadership / team leading

  • Sound understanding of 5S, GMP, and the application of HACCP standards

  • High degree of accuracy, excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Availability to work across day, afternoon or night shifts as required
