Fire Alarm Surveyor
About the role
The role involves completing annual fire alarm and specified system surveys across commercial buildings, assessing fire alarm installations and identifying defects or compliance issues. You will also review associated life-safety features including emergency lighting, exit signage, fire doors and escape routes. This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in getting the details right.
Key responsibilities
Complete annual fire alarm and specified system surveys across commercial buildings
Assess fire alarm installations and identify defects or compliance issues
Review associated life-safety features including emergency lighting, exit signage, fire doors and escape routes
Follow detailed checklists and accurately record information
Manage a schedule and work independently
About you
Sound knowledge of NZS 4512
Previous fire alarm servicing, testing or surveying experience
Excellent eye for detail
Ability to follow detailed checklists and accurately record information
Good computer/tablet skills and record keeping
Ability to work independently and manage a schedule
Professional communication skills
Current NZ driver's licence
Experience with BWOF, Form 12/12A and compliance schedules would be an advantage
