About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Sales Coordinator to join our sales team. This role will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the Sales Manager and sales team, while also acting as a key point of contact for customers throughout the sales and order process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of customer orders, responding to enquiries, supporting sales activities and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with the sales and purchasing teams, the Sales Coordinator will play an important role in supporting the overall sales process and delivering a high level of customer service. We are looking for someone who is proactive, practical and solutions-focused, with a positive “can-do” attitude and the confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and sales support to the Sales Manager and sales team

  • Process and coordinate customer orders from initial enquiry through to dispatch

  • Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email in a professional and timely manner

  • Prepare quotations, order confirmations, invoices, credits and other sales documentation

  • Follow up outstanding orders, backorders and customer enquiries

  • Monitor stock availability and communicate relevant information to customers and sales representatives

  • Follow up sales leads and assist with developing new customer opportunities

  • Support existing customers and build strong ongoing customer relationships

  • Assist with interstate trade fairs, showroom activities and other sales events when required

  • Prepare sales reports and assist with general sales analysis

About you

  • Minimum two years experience in a sales coordination, sales administration, customer service or similar role

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Good computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time

  • A positive, practical and "can-do" attitude

  • Solid problem-solving skills

  • Strong follow-up skills and the ability to meet deadlines

  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • A strong customer service mindset
