About the role
Kenmore Village Physio is seeking a motivated and passionate Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our friendly team for a six-month locum position with a possibility of permanent ongoing role.
One of our senior physiotherapists will be away from 1 October 2026 through March 2027. The successful applicant will take over their established, booked diary of clients, offering immediate clinical hours without needing to build a caseload from scratch.There is also the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position at the end of the six-month locum period.
You will provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services to a varied client base in a well-established Kenmore clinic. Your clinical caseload may include acute and persistent musculoskeletal conditions, spinal and postural conditions, sports injuries, workplace and repetitive strain injuries, post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, movement-related conditions, and women's health presentations. Patients include private clients and those referred through GPs, WorkCover, DVA, NDIS and other compensable schemes.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments
Develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans
Provide manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education
Treat private, GP-referred, WorkCover, DVA and NDIS clients
Use treatment options including shockwave therapy and laser therapy
Work autonomously while collaborating with experienced physiotherapists
Liaise with GPs, specialists and other healthcare professionals
Participate in occupational rehabilitation and pre-employment medical services where appropriate
About you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy
Current AHPRA registration
Current professional indemnity insurance
Full Australian working rights
Strong musculoskeletal assessment and manual therapy skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish rapport and maintain continuity of care with existing patients
Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Current Australian driver's licence but not necessary
At least two years of physiotherapy experience, preferably in private practice (recent graduates with strong clinical and communication skills also welcome)
