Financial Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a highly aspirational and experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, gaining broad exposure across a range of accounting and finance activities in a fast growing, leading manufacturing business.

This is an intermediate level role designed to build upon existing financial and accounting foundations and technical skills in a dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Manager and other Financial Accountants, supporting day-to-day finance activities, reporting and ongoing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership and support of day-to-day finance and accounting activities
• Assist with preparation of financial and management reports
• Works collaboratively with other Financial Accountants, peer reviewing work and validating financial and non-financial information
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities and provides recommendations and pathways forward based on evidence and detailed analysis
• Assist with external and internal stakeholder compliance requirements, including taxation and reporting
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience within commercial environment
• Previous manufacturing and construction experience highly desirable
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and self (and peer review) ability
• A proactive, autonomous approach with strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
