About the Opportunity

A well-established and growing IT services provider based in North Sydney is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team. This role will see you take ownership of multiple concurrent network infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on firewall migrations, firewall upgrades, and related network initiatives.

This is not a hands-on engineering position but rather they are looking for someone with a solid working knowledge of networking technologies who can confidently engage with technical teams, clients, and vendors to keep complex projects moving forward.

Please note: occasional after-hours work is required (remote, generally no more than once a week) to coordinate with stakeholders during scheduled change windows.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering to agreed scope, budget, and timelines
  • Coordinating technical resources and driving projects through to successful completion
  • Proactively identifying, tracking, and escalating risks, dependencies, and issues
  • Managing scope changes with appropriate governance and stakeholder sign-off
  • Leading technical discussions and workshops to unblock delivery challenges
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Delivering clear, concise reporting and status updates, including at executive level
  • Acting as the key point of coordination between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently in a technical environment
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals 
  • A confident, clear communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to manage risk, scope, and governance processes
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while keeping multiple moving parts on track
  • Availability for occasional remote after-hours coordination during change windows
