Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Myaree, WA.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist automotive transmission workshop, working alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

You'll build a strong foundation in general automotive mechanics while gaining valuable exposure to automatic transmission servicing, diagnostics and repairs.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified technicians, you'll learn how to:

• Assist with the servicing, diagnosis and repair of automatic transmissions.

• Remove and refit transmissions and associated components.

• Assist with transmission inspections, testing and fault diagnosis.

• Use specialised diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.

• Identify mechanical and transmission-related faults.

• Service and maintain a range of passenger and light vehicles.

• Remove, replace and repair mechanical components.

• Carry out general vehicle servicing and maintenance.

• Follow manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

As your skills and confidence develop, you'll have the opportunity to take on more complex diagnostic and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians.
