Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Myaree, WA.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist automotive transmission workshop, working alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
You'll build a strong foundation in general automotive mechanics while gaining valuable exposure to automatic transmission servicing, diagnostics and repairs.

What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside qualified technicians, you'll learn how to:
Assist with the servicing, diagnosis and repair of automatic transmissions.
Remove and refit transmissions and associated components.
Assist with transmission inspections, testing and fault diagnosis.
Use specialised diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
Identify mechanical and transmission-related faults.
Service and maintain a range of passenger and light vehicles.
Remove, replace and repair mechanical components.
Carry out general vehicle servicing and maintenance.
Follow manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
As your skills and confidence develop, you'll have the opportunity to take on more complex diagnostic and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians.
