About the role

The Apollonian Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and takes pride in delivering high-quality meals and excellent customer experiences.

Hours are negotiable with a preference of 3-5 days per week. Shifts per day can vary from 3-8hrs, with some split shifts available. Minimum 20hrs per week over lunch, evening and weekend shifts. Full time hours available.

This role is offered as a casual position initially with the potential to move to a permanent position after 3 months.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality meals

  • Maintaining food quality and presentation standards

  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene requirements are met

  • Managing stock rotation and minimising food waste

  • Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

  • Assisting with kitchen cleaning and organisation

About you

  • 5+ years experience as a Chef or Cook

  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • A positive attitude and team-first approach

  • Availability to work a range of shifts; evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
