About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director and based at Head Office in Mt Wellington, this role combines new business development with the management and growth of existing relationships across government and corporate clients throughout New Zealand and Australia. You will work closely with key stakeholders, providing consultative advice on cyber security risks, governance, and compliance requirements to deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs.

The role will involve occasional travel to attend client meetings, industry events, and trade shows. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience selling IT services, coupled with a sound understanding of the challenges associated with data security, cyber risk, and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand within government, local government, and corporate sectors.

  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor on cybersecurity strategy and risk.

  • Apply a consultative, solution-selling approach to deliver tailored cybersecurity solutions that address client needs.

  • Develop opportunities across key sectors including utilities, finance, retail, transport, and critical infrastructure.

  • Engage senior decision-makers, prepare compelling proposals, and successfully negotiate commercial outcomes.

  • Consistently achieve sales targets and KPIs while working closely with technical teams to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience selling services within the IT sector.

  • A sound understanding of the security challenges associated with data and technology use.

  • Confidence in developing new business opportunities while building and maintaining long-term, meaningful client relationships.

  • Results-driven, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and KPIs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must hold a New Zealand Passport or a valid Returning Resident Visa.
