Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager
About OIHE
Ozford Institute of Higher Education (OIHE) is an Australian higher education provider committed to academic excellence, quality, innovation and student success. We deliver programs in a supportive, inclusive and student-centred environment, underpinned by sound governance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
The opportunity
We are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager to support OIHE's compliance, quality assurance, governance, risk and regulatory activities.
This is more than a document-control role. You will work closely with the CEO, senior management, academic leaders and operational teams, gaining broad visibility across the Institute and contributing to decisions that strengthen academic quality, governance and the student experience. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of important coordination activities, improve systems and see the practical impact of your work.
The role offers variety, professional growth and exposure to regulatory submissions, governance, accreditation, course assurance and institutional improvement. It will suit someone who enjoys turning complex requirements into clear, workable processes and who combines careful attention to detail with sound judgement and initiative.
Key responsibilities
· Manage and continuously improve compliance and quality assurance systems, registers, policies, procedures, records and evidence.
· Monitor regulatory obligations and changes relevant to Australian higher education, including TEQSA, the Higher Education Standards Framework, ESOS and CRICOS requirements.
· Lead the coordination of evidence and documentation for regulatory submissions, accreditation activities, audits, reviews and internal assurance processes.
· Support governance processes by preparing papers and records, maintaining document control, tracking actions and following up with responsible staff.
· Support the development, approval, review and renewal of new and existing courses and units.
· Prepare clear compliance updates, reports and briefings for senior management, committees and other stakeholders.
· Assist with monitoring risks, incidents, complaints, student feedback and improvement actions, and ensure matters are recorded and escalated appropriately.
· Lead compliance and quality-related staff briefings, training and professional development.
· Identify opportunities to improve processes, evidence quality, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
· Contribute to a culture of accountability, integrity, student focus and continuous improvement.
What success looks like
· Regulatory, governance and quality assurance obligations are supported accurately and on time.
· Compliance records, registers and evidence are current, complete, well controlled and readily accessible.
· Submissions, audits, reviews and accreditation activities are coordinated effectively and to agreed deadlines.
· Risks, issues and required actions are communicated clearly, tracked and followed through.
· Quality improvement initiatives produce practical and measurable outcomes.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, submissions, policies and supporting evidence.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgement to identify issues and escalate them appropriately.
· Strong digital capability and confidence working with records, data, document management and reporting systems.
· A professional, ethical and confidential approach, with strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
