The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark high-rise residential development in Newcastle.
You can be based in either Sydney or Newcastle. If you live in Sydney, you'll need to travel to Newcastle 1 day a week and if you are based in Newcastle you'll need to be onsite 4 days a week and 1 day in the Sydney office.
This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional capable of independently managing complex multi-storey residential developments from commencement through to completion. Reporting directly to the Director, you will become the second most senior member of the business and play a key leadership role across project delivery and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-rise residential construction projects from start to finish.
- Manage all aspects of project planning, execution, budgeting and programme delivery.
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor site teams including Site Managers, Foremen and project personnel.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Provide leadership across project operations while maintaining high construction standards.
- Report directly to the Director on project performance and milestones.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering at least 4–5 high-rise residential projects from commencement to completion as the lead Project Manager.
- Strong background in multi-storey residential construction.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex construction projects.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial, contractual and project planning capability.
- Ability to lead project teams and make confident decisions in fast-paced environments.
