About the role
We’re seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join our Myhealth general practice in the heart of Rockdale on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in general practice while enjoying the dynamic atmosphere of a vibrant, busy area. As our Medical Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our patients, playing a key role in providing excellent patient care and support.
Day in the Life:
Greeting patients and efficiently managing patient check-ins and registration
Overseeing and maintaining diary scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Team (including waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointments)
Answering patient queries via phone and email
Organising and maintaining patient records, ensuring confidentiality
Handling various ad-hoc reception tasks to support the smooth running of the practice
What we're looking for:
Minimum of 1-2 years of reception experience (medical preferred)
Best Practice experience (desirable)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred
Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritisation of workflow
A positive, can-do attitude and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our patients and practice
