Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading agricultural organisation are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician.

The Company
An industry-leading agricultural organisation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team based in Swan Hill. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the maintenance team, assists with planning and scheduling maintenance activities, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.

The Role
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the responsibilities of the role includes:

• Support the Maintenance Manager with the daily coordination of maintenance operations and assume leadership responsibilities when required.
• Provide leadership, coaching and technical guidance to maintenance employees and contractors to develop a skilled, engaged and high-performing team.
• Coordinate and carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across plant, machinery, vehicles, irrigation systems, facilities and infrastructure.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify maintenance issues and implement effective solutions to improve reliability, reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Ensure machinery operators complete pre-start inspections, promptly report faults and follow established maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, service schedules, spare parts inventory and workshop equipment, including regular stocktakes.
• Support harvest operations by ensuring all equipment is serviced, maintained and available to meet operational requirements.

Your Background
In order to be successful in this role, you will have:
 

• Relevant trade qualification with proven experience performing preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery, plant, vehicles and equipment, preferably within agriculture, manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise work and respond effectively under pressure.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence essential.
• Forklift Licence, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications are desirable.
