Disability Support Workers (Female) - Glenside

SWCo is a Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers.

We are partnered with a long-term specialist Disability Service provider operating and we have a plenty of work opportunities currently available within their SIL services located in Glenside and surrounding suburbs. 

The Female Participants being supported at the SILs require personal care support and therefore have requested Female Support Workers to assist with this level of care.


What you need:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
  • Experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clients that display challenging behaviours
  • Experience driving a company van to transport clients.
  • Full Australian Driver's License (no overseas licenses, provisional or learners' license)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Manual Handling Training
  • Medication Training (face-to-face)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable smart phone with data
Overview of the role:
  • Provide day-to-day support to people with a disability in various environments to help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
  • 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm) and sleep over shifts
  • Combination of short 3-hour shifts and 8-hour shifts.
  • Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
  • Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
  • Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
  • Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
  • Must be able to drive company vans to transport participants to community-based outings.
