Service Technician – Industrial Doors, Shutters & Access Systems

Sydney NSW (Hybrid)
$90,000 – $110,000 per year
Posted 10d ago

We're on the hunt for a switched-on Service Technician to join our Sydney team servicing high-speed doors, roller shutters, fire doors, automatic doors, gates and HVLS fans across NSW. You'll be the go-to person keeping our clients' sites running — diagnosing faults, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and delivering the kind of service that keeps customers calling us back.

Our client base spans food production, pharmaceutical, aviation, mining, defence and general commercial sectors, so no two days look the same. One morning, you might be on a cold storage roller door, the afternoon could be a high-speed door at a pharma facility or an auto door at a commercial site.

What you'll be doing

  • Service, maintenance and breakdown response on high-speed doors, shutters, fire doors, auto doors, gates and HVLS fans

  • Fault finding across electrical, mechanical and control systems

  • Preventative maintenance to manufacturer specs and AS standards

  • Liaising directly with site contacts — clear comms, tidy work, sensible solutions

  • Completing service reports and job documentation

  • Working safely across food-grade, secure and high-risk facilities

What we're looking for

  • Cert III in Electrical, Auto Electrical, PLC, Mechatronics or similar (electricians and conveyor specialists strongly encouraged to apply)

  • Solid fault-finding ability — you can read a schematic, follow a circuit, and work out what's actually wrong rather than guessing

  • Mechanically minded with good hand skills

  • Service and maintenance background (industrial doors, automation, conveyors, access control or similar trades all relevant)

  • Current driver's licence

  • Comfortable working at heights — EWP ticket a plus

  • Able to obtain site inductions and clearances (defence and aviation sites require this)

  • A professional approach with customers — you represent us on site
