Industrial Blaster / Spray Painter
Are you passionate about industrial / commercial spray painting and blasting?
With the multiple roles on offer – this well-known NZ organisation will provide you with hands-on training; help you build strong industrial blasting and painting skills, and give you experience across large commercial sites throughout Auckland.
There will also be opportunities to work overtime and earn additional income.
The Roles
1. Factory Blasters – Permanent - $28 - $30 per hour
We are looking for Blasters to join our client’s factory workshop in Drury. You’ll be preparing surfaces through abrasive blasting and power-tool cleaning, ready for protective coatings to be applied.
At least 1-year commercial blasting experience – industrial experience preferred
Experience using steel grit or garnet is an advantage
2. Factory Spray Painters – Permanent - $30 - $32 per hour
We are looking for spray painters to join our client’s factory workshop in Drury. You’ll be applying protective coatings using spray systems, brushes and rollers.
At least 1-year commercial spray painting experience - industrial experience preferred
Experience using conventional or airless spray systems is an advantage
3. Site Painters and Blasters – Fixed Term - $30–$35 per hour, depending on skills & experience
We are looking for multiple Painters and Blasters for site-based work. You may be preparing surfaces, abrasive blasting, power-tool cleaning or applying protective coatings using spray systems, brushes and rollers.
2 – 3 years’ experience commercial / industrial blasting – steel grit or garnet
2 – 3 years’ experience commercial / industrial painting – conventional, airless, and plural spray systems
Experience in industrial intumescent fire-coating spray-painting is ideal
Additional Key Requirements for all roles:
Industrial experience is preferred, but commercial painting and blasting will be considered
High standard of quality control, physically fit, and a strong commitment to Health and Safety (Site Safe certification not essential but preferred).
Hours of work are Monday to Friday within 6am – 4.30pm - approximately 40 hours per week.
You have a clean driver’s license and reliable transport
Are drug and alcohol free and willing to undertake random testing
You do not need experience in every area listed. Training will be provided for people with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly.
